Have I ever told you that you are a little insane. I'm not thrilled with the new images simply because I'm a bit overly manic about sharp, well composed, well lit photos - blurred images make me a little crazy.
Also, I'm one of the world's best procrastinators so your daily schedule would be just another opportunity to put something off til later or another day.
You may have mentioned it... three or four hundred times. You've been right every time though. And as you might guess, you're not the only person who's made that observation! It's accurate I'm sure. <shrug>
And on sharpness... let your hair down, live a little!!!
I am big fan of simple routines. This fall, I haven’t been able to keep them up as much as I like, but I think it is very helpful!
It’s important to create even if we are not happy with the results, though your results are so good. I love the one of the tree. Definitely see the Pep Ventosa influence.
I had to smile about your 19 minutes of sitting still, only because of the number 19, not 20 or 15? :)
I think it is such a healthy habit to keep up.
This post inspired me to stick with routines a little more again. Thanks for that!
Thanks for the compliments Manuela. And about 19. I started with three, and even that was hard at first! This year I decided to add one minute at the beginning of each new month, up to 20. And I have to say, I've groaned more than once when the calendar turned over. One more bump to go, and then I'll reevaluate.
They are among my favorites for the same reason. Who needs bright colors anyway, right?!?!? They were not easily found anywhere in Humboldt County, in our youth.
That red tree photograph is gorgeous Donn!
Thank you Shital!

All that said, I still think you're the best.

No George, you're the best :-)

Haha, that makes sense. Honestly, 19 minutes is a long time! Good for you!
Very impressive painterly renderings of the Arcata Community Forest (in which I feel I grew up)!

Love the post, Donn. I also love David Whyte and the idea of routine; the problem is that I can never stick to it. I've been meditating for 35 years (TM), but there hasn't been a single week when I meditated every day, let alone twice a day. At my age I'll just have to accept my routine-less life. That multiple exposure photo is awesome, btw. https://substack.com/redirect/f3745d80-40a1-4c6d-8090-7e854386df1f?j=eyJ1IjoiYjhhd3UifQ.TUtJyVpnlARaRwKNcbPhU1BHVrnwjjr6Cl3IiWZX384
