I totally get the desire to blur an image. I can see the difference and how it creates a slightly different and more evocative mood.

The image with the birds is amazing!! Great instincts.

Well spoken. I’ve struggled with myself for years about calling myself an artist or not. The argument is still not settled but I continue to take photographs that I like and a lot of people like them and some don’t - I’m really not concerned about the critics. I’ll continue to work on my craft and for my own sake

That is perfect, and hard for many people to do. You might like the book. It's really interesting for several reasons, but what's unique is that he includes many fabulous images and includes NO captions, no index or glossary or anything. They are just there, accompanying the text. I've never seen anybody do this before.

Thanks Susanne, I appreciate it. I do like the bridge, and I've sold it more than once (and again just now, as a result of posting this letter). Being in beautiful places at beautiful times, I am compelled to make those images too. Why not? I just don't seek this kind of image out the way I sought out the fog images. Always seeking...
