Don, you may be in the minority, but you're not alone. We need to stay strong. It's either that, or let the impending inevitable wash over, and maybe even drown us. Like you, I hope that never occurs, but we still need to stay strong, just in case. Thanks for sharing your words. It takes courage, especially now.
Sadly, I don't think you are wrong. Devastating. I have lost my country; it is why I moved. Why people believe this path will lead them to a better life is beyond me; especially for those that are brown or black or a woman. How could they vote this way? It is beyond my understanding. What faith I had in people is shattered. Today is a dark day and hopefully tomorrow will bring some hope. but not today. Simple despair.
Thanks for sharing, Donn. I appreciate your candor and calm approach because I'm vacillating between numbness and a petty "let it all burn" attitude at the moment. Just know you're not alone.
Thank you Amy, I appreciate it. I think we sometimes are afraid to state our fears and disappointments. Not that it does any good to consistently complain and whine, but we all need to at least have a chance to be heard, at times.
In this case, I felt I had to write the piece. If it's helpful to you (or anybody else), I'm glad for that as well.
Thank you Don. Feeling the same way today and it helps to read this. This is my first article I've read from you but I am following you now.
Thank you Kardamin. It helped me to write it, too. I just couldn't publish an ordinary letter today.
*Donn. It's totally understandable, and I believe your post will help many others. Please take time for yourself for self care if you can.
It’s been a dark day. 😞

Thank you Ian, it helps to hear that.
I’m in the minority with you. I fear the turn we’ve just taken.
