I’m traveling again, and will have more to say about it next week.
Yesterday I took a road less traveled. I’m the only person here. When it’s windy I hear the sound rushing against my ears. If a bird is nearby, I hear it sing. Otherwise, nothing.
People come to this place at other times, but not in April. It’s still too early, too cold in northern Nebraska. Near South Dakota.
How often do you hear nothing, not even the wind?
It could be intimidating to be so alone.
If you’re not afraid, it’s delicious.
I love connecting with people, as you know. But this... makes you feel as if nothing else could possibly matter in the world.
Until next time,
