Great photos, Donn, especially the frozen leaf which is stunning. Sometimes, we have to suffer for our art 🥶. I can definitely relate as we’ve had -20C temperatures here. I have photographer’s gloves, designed for cold winters. The tips of the index fingers and thumbs fold back so you can easily use the camera dials and buttons without removing the gloves. They’re quite effective.
Thanks for the compliments. And I should look for those gloves, thanks for that too, Mark. And something to cover the camera - that might even be more important the way I like to walk and shoot out here. If nothing else I could make something.
Great work Donn, I can't imagine living in such a cold environment.
I'd love to spend a short time experiencing it though, the images look magic.
We've had the opposite situation here in South Australian, way way way too hot. Almost 50 degrees Celcius in some cases. (P.s, it's pretty much everybody uses Celcius, not just your European friends 🙂). Cheers.
Well, hello from the other edge of the world, in pretty much every way, including temperatures! You're right, I owe apologies to my connections from other continents as well.
There is a saying. There's no such thing as bad weather; only bad gear. I'm not 100% aligned, but it has at least some merit.
I've been thinking my camera needs gear too. Some sort of cozy (that's what they call the neoprene wraps you put around a beer can).
Stunning imagery, Donn.
Absolute gold.
Thank you Don, that's kind of you to say!
Nice abstracts of the ice. Love the leaf
Thank you Marcel, greatly appreciated!
Minus 15C is cold enough in my book! Beautiful images of nature’s frigid art!

That could be the invention of the year, a beer can wrap (stubby holder here) designed for a camera, you're onto a winner I think. 😂
Stunning. The leaf!
Thanks, and glad you like it Glenn!
The last image made me smile! ☺️
Me too! Thanks Susanne
