Clouds in riptides disconnect.
The rain gets loose and shifts a little this way,
a little that, the oaks and sycamores
in sunlight vibrate extra, and the grass, the mushroom
heads light up the space between. It’s all right here.
Don’t be so fucking serious. Shit happens. Time was
a green that made the creek resist to flint now sparks
under airplanes and the boardwalk leading to
a place where repose angels of brightness that body
and unbody as if they have been dying all day long
to be an object garden –

Thank you, Cort.

P.S.: And thank you Stacia, for being the other half, in these images and more broadly!
