Last week in my travels I visited an old friend, Fenway Park.
Baseball is not for everybody. Many people find it to be slow, difficult to understand, and nothing special. For the rest of us, it’s timeless:
Fenway has changed since the park opened in 1912, but by 1947 lights were installed and the “Green Monster” had been built. For the last 77 years the views haven’t changed much. Even the infield dirt is shaped the same way.
The scoreboard, built in 1934, is still operated by hand, from either inside or outside the wall depending on what’s being updated.
Many traditions remain intact:
Past players were unperturbed by background activities as they warmed up:
And they remain so:
The field is maintained in much the same way as it has been for years:
And while the players play as hard as ever:
Everybody still smiles:
As they have for years.
Until next time,
Limited Edition Prints for Sale
Another channel of my photography. Oof. But as promised, I’ve got this new set of Limited Edition prints available for purchase. Any unsold African wildlife images from last fall, as promised, have been retired from circulation.
Each edition consists of ten Numbered Prints and two Artists Prints, 16x24” silver halide, with certificate of authentication. As before, these are limited both by number and duration of the offer. If you’d like one or more for that special person, don’t hesitate. You wouldn't want to become he who is lost!

Or, are you interested in seeing more work? My website welcomes you. We may even want to work together. I promise a joyous and productive experience if we do.
I am not a baseball fan either, but had to become one when my son chose to play it during middle school. I tried. Still don't love it, but the images are great as usual. :)
